Challenge:

Keep acquired employees in the loop during a merger while the acquiring company simultaneously spun-off from a large corporate parent.

Solution:

Thorough and ongoing employee communication. Throughout the acquisition of a division of a large energy company, employees were asked to work as diligently as possible. Much needed information was delivered to employees regularly through a weekly newsletter. In addition, severance, job opportunity and new employee welcome packages were created. Since the acquiring company was in the midst of its own spin-off, temporary human resources branding was created for all materials.
