Leading pharmaceutical company wants to increase awareness and elevate the value of their generous total rewards programs in the minds of their employees.
Solution
Design and implement a comprehensive employee listening program to discover employee’s understanding and attitudes about company total rewards communication, and then create an actionable three-year communication strategy to address findings.
Listening started with their CEO and executive team and moved out to include nearly a dozen employee segments based on a variety of demographics including tenure, role, geography and more. Nearly 5,000 employees in total were engaged through interviews, focus groups and surveys.
Based on our learnings, we partnered with the client’s benefits, compensation, wellness and communication teams to reorganized total rewards into a more intuitive structure that is culturally specific to the company.
We then rebranded their total rewards offerings with a unique visual approach and key message platform, and developed a three-year communication roadmap to:
- Educate employees about the extent and value of total rewards.
- Emphasize an intentional and holistic approach to total rewards.
- Make total rewards messages and materials more accessible and user-friendly.
- Create a consistent internal messaging cadence across multiple channels.
